“In the heart of Melbourne but without the inner city grind. Close to transport as well as the river and a lovely park so plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy this lovely city.”The building itself has a long and colourful history; many guests of the hotel still recall when the building was known as Lindrum’s Billard Centre. It was commissioned in the 1900’s as a billiard-playing establishment by a family that had for four-generations produced a line of billiard champions. The hotel opened it’s doors officially in 1999 after serving several years as a place for Australian publication offices. The rich history of the building gives the hotel the charm that it upholds still to this day, now just with updated furnishings and modern appliances. Hotel Lindrum continues to maintain it’s past in billiard tradition with a bar and billiard room in the hotel. Decorated with the characteristic luxury and style of it’s old world roots with a modern twist. Carrying over the billiard theme, felt restaurant is appropriately named for the green felt covered billiard tables that once hosted billiard champions and now draws in it’s colorful guests. Intimately seeing up to 40 guests, the restaurant is award winning in service and dining pleasure.
“The lobby & bar area are lovely as the hotel is housed in a beautiful historic building. The decor offers warmth & ambience. We loved the idea of the Billiard Room which evidently oozes with historical significance.”
