With a distance of 5km, 10km and half marathon (21km), the runners will pass some of Melbourne’s most famous landmarks. The race courses include most of the iconic views that made the city popular across the globe.

- The 5km racecourse: Alexandra Gardens - across the Yarra River - the premier sporting precinct - Melbourne Park - MCG - finish line area at Birrarung Marr
- The 10km racecourse: Botanical Gardens - parklands of Alexandra Gardens - across the Yarra River - Melbourne Park - MCG - finish line area at Birrarung Marr
- The Half marathon racecourse: the corner of St. Elizabeth and St. Flinders - Docklands - returning past Crown Casino - Polly Woodside - lap around the Botanical Gardens - Shrine of Remembrance - parklands of Alexandra Gardens - across the Yarra River - MCG - the finish line area at Birrarung Marr
